CALICO is coming to A, Nagoya...!
This time, theming "Solo Flower" for the first time. (It is not a common design name, we just call it so)
It is not "Ajrakh", it is a new design, new dye technics, only using traditional dye materials.
名古屋のAさんの展示もまもなくはじまります。
同じシンプルな花の柄にみえますが、同じ花はひとつとしてなく、新しくもあり、懐かしくもあり。
さらに集合すると楽しげでもあり、今やキヤリコらしい文様のひとつになりました。
ともすれば、無尽蔵に作りうる眩いインド的な柄。
色柄のパラダイスだからこそ、そこに溺れず、自分も皆さんもしっかり記憶できるようなペースで、ちゃんと味わってみたいというキモチ。
それに共感してくださったAの豊美さんが、ソロフラワーを拾い上げてくださいました。
ソロフラワー群のほか、Aさんにご注文いただいたオリジナルアイテムもお持ちします。

We have developed nostalgic simple design series with Ibrahim Abdullah Butta Khatri of Kutch. Asked him to find the old and simplest flowery block in 2022, to make original new Ghagra.
We tried to enjoy the design itself, being away from just traditional or authentic with too much meta information.
These flowers look simple and same, but all are different. As a collective of motifs, it shows a certain charm and nostalgy to everybody.
