CALICO is coming to A, Nagoya...!
This time, theming "Solo Flower" for the first time. (It is not a common design name, we just call it so)
It is not "Ajrakh", it is a new design, new dye techniques, only using traditional dye materials.
Mr. A's exhibition from Nagoya will also begin soon.
Although they appear to have the same simple floral pattern, no two flowers are the same, making them both new and nostalgic.
Furthermore, when they are gathered together they look fun, and have now become one of Kyariko's signature patterns.
There is an endless supply of dazzling Indian patterns that can be created.
Precisely because it is a paradise of colors and patterns, I don't want to get drowning in it, but rather want to fully experience it at a pace that will allow both myself and everyone else to remember it clearly.
Toyomi A, who sympathized with this , picked up the solo flower.
In addition to the solo flower group, we will also bring original items ordered by Mr. A.

We have developed nostalgic simple design series with Ibrahim Abdullah Butta Khatri of Kutch. Asked him to find the old and simplest flowery block in 2022, to make original new Ghagra.
We tried to enjoy the design itself, being away from just traditional or authentic with too much meta information.
These flowers look simple and same, but all are different. As a collective of motifs, it shows a certain charm and nostalgia to everybody.

The black and white floral pattern blooming on the calico is somehow nostalgic yet new. " Solo Flower" is a modern-day chintz that was given life from discarded woodblocks with chipped edges.
Enjoy wearing it boldly and with a touch of elegance.
We will focus on local sheep wool, Ajurac dyeing, and West Indian fabrics.
