maku + CALICO: the art of Indian village fabrics
The World of Indian Handmade Fabrics 2024 Early Autumn
September 17th (Tuesday) - October 7th (Monday)
*Closed on Thursdays
(Gallery admission requires one drink order)

The maku and CALICO exhibition is currently being held at the Kura no Naka Gallery in Toyota Asuke.

Aya Fujisawa, who is involved in running the gallery, says that her grandmother and aunt traveled to Rajasthan with Hiroko Iwatate in the 1980s.

The other day I borrowed the album to record some precious photos and shared them with an Indian researcher friend who is working on a project to restore Rajasthan printed fabrics.
Thank you, Fujisawa-san, for your cooperation.

The fourth and subsequent photos show Fujisawa-san participating in the workshop held the other day.

We are currently setting up ✨

This year, the intense heat continues even in September.
Summer items are still very popular.
Including new items, they will be useful throughout the summer, autumn and winter.
We have a wide range of items.

In particular, there are plenty of tops that can be worn all the way through to autumn!
Please come and enjoy!
