*CALICO's Kobayashi Fumie will be present
18th (Sat) Afternoon / 19th (Sun)
CALICO works with local artisans to preserve the time-honoured methods used in Indian villages, such as Khadi (hand-spun and hand-woven cotton fabric), Jamdani, Kantha, Ajurac dyeing, and weaving of native cotton and wool, as modern traditions and to pass them on to future generations.
This exhibition will introduce many items such as local sheep wool and ajurack, which are staples for autumn and winter, denim khadi and handwoven silk items that are popular all year round, and bandhani items, which were planned this year. Please come and have a look.
