It's been two years since the beginning of December.
From the world of Indian handmade fabrics by CALICO
We will introduce everyday clothing and fabrics for daily life.

Rather than the colors and designs that we imagine when we hear the word India, the items are simple and suitable for everyday use in line with Japanese lifestyles.

Sometimes you feel the warmth of someone's hand really touching your heart.

In addition to the exhibits introduced so far, this exhibition will also feature
Archana Kumari This time, we will also feature her embroidery work.
We'll give you a close-up look.

Aomori also has a sashiko culture, including Kogin and diamond embroidery.
India and Tohoku have different climates and environments, but I hope to be able to create projects in the future that allow us to share the differences and preciousness of the colors and shapes that come from those climates and the people who live there.

The photo shows a large embroidered cloth.
It depicts the daily life.

CALICO travels around India to learn about Khadi (hand-spun and hand-woven fabric) and
Kantha (embroidered cloth), indigo dyed and hand dyed cloth, etc.
By exploring the handicrafts of those places and incorporating them into modern Japanese life, we hope to enrich and enrich it.
Handicrafts are introduced.
