A special exhibition will be held at Outbound in Kichijoji, Tokyo, run by Kazuto Kobayashi.
We have been grateful to you for your patronage many times, but this is the first time that the event will be held in the middle of winter. We will bring with us Marwari sheep wool shawls and large bed covers that are rustic yet warm, and can only be enjoyed at this time of year. We will also be showcasing loom-woven fabrics that have just arrived from Nagaland, and Ajrak works by Sufiyan Ismail Khatri and others that were exhibited in 2019. Some of the works introduced at Gaam no Otlo will also be on display.
Now is the time for the whole world to quietly mourn.
In this situation, it is a joy to be able to share my thoughts with people far away through fabric. I hope I can share this with you all, even if just a little.
We plan to introduce it at OUTBOUND's store as well as online. If you are in the area, please be careful when you come.
The following is an introduction from Outbound's Kobayashi:

This time, there will be a wide variety of items, including maku's autumn/winter collection, LIVING BLUE's kantha quilts, ajrak by Sufiyan Ismail Khatri, Marwari sheep wool shawls, bed covers, and coats woven at Vankar Vishram Valji's studio (Yayoi Arimoto's photo shows a weaver from the studio), and from CALICO, khadi denim, silk jacquard tuck pants, classic suspender wide pants, new colors of Soni dresses, and rubbery bags. Please look forward to it.
