CALICO is coming to Shoka:, Okinawa…!

The air is still cold these days.

While collecting little springs like the downy hairs inside the buds,
I am currently looking forward to planning an exhibition at Shoka: in Okinawa, organized by Ayumi Tahara.

CALICO : the ART of INDIAN VILLAGE FABRICS at Shoka:
2022.3.5 Sat to 3.20 Sun
12:00-17:00
6-13-6 Hiyagon, Okinawa City
Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the event

Kobayashi will also be present on the first day, March 5th.

Ayumi Tahara plans to close her storefront at Hiyane after 11 years of operation after the CALICO exhibition and the upcoming mon sakata exhibition. (Shoka: will remain online.)

It is in times of great change like these that I am reminded of the invisible bond between her and the sea.
Whether the seas are calm or storms come, I feel his determination to keep his boat afloat and steer it steadily.

Hatred is spreading on the continent and fears of epidemic disease persist all over the world, but rather than simply adding to the despair, it is precisely at times like these that we want to live in such an ocean of hearts.

"Never lose faith in humanity. Humanity is the ocean. A few dirty drops of water in the ocean do not make the ocean dirty."
Mahatma Gandhi

Come and contemplate the various scenes that the fabrics bring across the sea.
