This year we will again be participating in "Warp & Weft," a festival of fabrics and towns that we started in collaboration with Yanma Sangyo, an organization based in Shakujii, Tokyo and New York.
Please join in the circulation of hand-woven fabrics and traditional fabrics that are still being made in Japan and India today.

Starting at 11:00 on July 29th, for the first three customers to arrive, Machida and Kobayashi will host a "selection session" where they will recommend CALICO and maku clothing that will best suit each customer's personality and the clothes they already own.

"Warpenweft 2023: Inheriting the Fabric"
It has been 15 years since Yanma Sangyo was founded and 10 years since it moved its studio to Shakujii.
This year, Warpen will be holding a talk event with Nana Yamazaki, who is returning to Japan for the first time in four years, as part of the YAMMA Year. She will be joined by Shinya Miyaura, who has been touring production areas around the country and supporting craftsmen, to talk about her activities to date and future plans for craftsmanship. Warpen, which connects towns and people with handmade fabrics, is set to be even more exciting this year!
