Basanta 2023 Update
2023.3.25(sat)~4.1(sat)

The coronavirus pandemic has dramatically changed the face of handweaving villages.
In some villages in Bengal and Bangladesh, machines weaving poly jamdani have begun to drown out the hum of cotton and silk weaving.
Despite their inner conflicts, the local weavers continue to use their hands and feet, never stopping the sound of the looms.
We will bring with us the khadi and jamdani fabrics and clothes that they have woven.
We will also be introducing new products from Maku, who is active in Bengal, as well as kantha quilts from Bangladesh and items made from native cotton from Kutch and Tamil Nadu.
