Hand-woven sheep wool x Kara cotton stand-up collar coat restock date

The hand-woven sheep wool stand-collar coat is currently sold out, but the next restock is scheduled for early March.

It was in 2017 that we first asked Vankar Shamji Vishram, a weaver from Kutch, to make wool fabric that could be made into a coat.
Since then, we have continued to improve the yarn we have been using by twisting it more and increasing the density, until it is strong enough to withstand sewing.

The wool fabric has a rough, rough texture and is mixed with a small amount of colored cotton, which is comfortable against the skin.

This season's version features a Bengali handwoven silk jacquard lining.

The style of the coat is made from scratch, rather than based on fantasy ideas such as "this is what coats must have looked like in the days when jackets were made from this type of material."

If you are wondering about the size, for someone about 160cm tall, the M size fits just right, while the L size fits maxi length. Please try it out at CALICO stores or CALICO: the BHAVAN.

Please enjoy the old and new continental winter fabrics created by the Vankars of Kutch.
