maku EDITH_Indigo dyed cotton Mughal dress
Product Description
A classic Mughal dress with eye-catching voluminous hemline.
The fabric is made from 100% cotton hand-woven Bengali saris, which are now rare, and dyed a deep navy blue with indigo and iron.
When you put on the dress, the jamdani pattern appears.
The fabric is thin and somewhat see-through, so we recommend wearing it with an inner layer underneath.
* Please note that the Jamdani fabric used is different for each item, so the pattern and color may look different.
*Although they are collectively called jamdani, it may be more accurate to say that they use similar techniques to jamdani.
It is woven on a simple jacquard loom locally known as a mata.
Jamdani in the narrow sense is limited in terms of construction method, pattern and production area, such as Dhakai Jamdani.

Before you purchase
* This product is also sold in stores, so it may be sold out at the time of your order. If the product is out of stock after you place your order, we will contact you.
* Hand-spun yarn is mainly produced by village women using a modern and highly efficient spinning wheel called an amvirtualka. If the yarn breaks, it will have knots as it has to be spun by hand.
* Most hand-woven and hand-spun fabrics are made in village huts, and depending on the environment, threads and grass may be mixed in. There may also be uneven areas, twists, smudges caused by skipped threads, and unavoidable stains. Please understand that these are characteristics of Indian fabrics before purchasing.
* Depending on the material, friction when worn may cause shrinkage or pilling. Please avoid excessive friction or pressure as it may cause damage to the fabric.
* Please be aware that indigo-dyed fabrics and clothing may fade or transfer color due to friction, rain, sweat, etc. Also, wash separately from other clothing. Be careful when wearing with light-colored clothing or bags, or when using with furniture.
* We recommend washing at home in cold water with a mild detergent and drying in the shade. If using a washing machine, use a laundry net.
