At the Handicraft Gallery on the 7th floor of Umeda Hankyu
Various types of fabrics are still being made in various parts of India, transcending time and space.
This time, we chose the theme of circa 2022 (around the year 2022) because we wanted to convey to future generations that this type of fabric was made around the year 2022 and that there was a culture of appreciating it.
Please take a look at the clothes made from a variety of fabrics that will color the year 2022, including maku items that have just arrived from Bengal, as well as naturally dyed fabrics such as khadi and jamdani.
The photo shows a fabric created in collaboration with Ajurack artisan Sufiyan Ismail Khatri, who also participated in the "Kutch Fabric Exhibition" organized by Umeda Hankyu in 2018, and madder-dyed clothing dyed by Bandani artisans SIDR Crafts.
