CALICO is coming to guu in Matsumoto
The air gradually gets colder,
It's the season when we start to yearn for warm, handmade fabrics.
Following on from last winter, we will be holding a special exhibition at guu, run by knit designer kanam/Miyata Kana in Matsumoto City .

11:00~18:00 Closed on Mondays during the exhibition period
Kobayashi will also be present on the first day, the 22nd .

First day: Friday 22nd
CALICO works with local artisans to preserve the time-honoured methods used in Indian villages, such as Khadi (hand-spun and hand-woven cotton fabric), Jamdani, Kantha, Ajurac dyeing, and weaving of native cotton and wool, as modern traditions and to pass them on to future generations.
This exhibition will introduce a wide range of items, from clothes to stoles and rugs, including local sheep wool and Ajurack, which are staples for autumn and winter, denim khadi, which is popular all year round, handwoven silk, and Bandani items.
