This is a continental fabric that has been passed down to the present day by dyers Khatri and weavers Vankar of Kutch in western India.

These items evoke fond memories for us living on an island, conveying the feeling of a time when fabric was a familiar, reliable item and a part of us.

Ajurack and Bandhani by dye artist Khatri and others who visited Japan this fall.

Kutch sheep wool, native cotton, Bengali denim khadi clothes,

We will also have maku dresses by Bengali designer Santanu Das .

Please come and join us in Ginza for an exchange through fabrics and clothing.
