વસંત Vasanta 2024 at gallery fu do ki (Itabashi, Tokyo)

We will be visiting Gallery Fudoki in Itabashi, Tokyo, with the colors of Indian spring.

Kobayashi is currently traveling in Rajasthan and will be visiting Itabashi on the first and second days.
I would be delighted to meet you all before the excitement of traveling wears off.

The photo shows a mountain of native Kala cotton taken in Kutch at the end of February.

I would also like to talk about various aspects related to Kara Cotton production.

having handwoven indigeneous cottons as our soul protection, enjoying cherry blossoms of this year

Those always look same as before, but nothing will be same as before...

CALICO: the ART of INDIAN VILLAGE FABRICS designs and promotes Indian handmade fabrics.
With the arrival of spring and the blooming of cherry blossoms, comes the arrival of handmade fabrics from India.

Vasanta 2024
2024.3.23(sat)~3.30(sat) 11:00~18:00 (until 17:00 on the last day)

Freshly harvested cotton flowers float in the dark night, sheep swarming in the wilderness. A form of prayer remaining in this world.
Each piece will help shape the future. They are not merely pieces of cloth to be consumed, but pieces to be protected and preserved, passing on distant memories.
Let's celebrate the coming season by collecting fabrics and clothes that have been made over the years by people from both eastern and western India, including weaving and dyeing of the native Kala cotton of Kutch in Gujarat, and weaving in West Bengal.
