At the "Meet INDIA" event to be held next month at Lake Scuola in Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture,
There will be a talk event with Yayoi Arimoto, who photographs Indian textile crafts.
Recently, I feel like conversations create more depth and depth to the scenery than solo performances.
It reminded me of scenes I didn't remember and allowed me to compare them with my memories from a different perspective.
Somehow, he's the one having the most fun.
On July 21st, we will all go on a journey to discover handmade fabrics from India.
See you at the venue or online!

Guest: CALICO @calicoindiajp Yayoi @yoyomarch
July 21st (Monday/Holiday)
"Meet INDIA" is a daily talk event to be held at Lake Scuole in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture from July 19th (Sat) to July 27th (Sun).
We invited guests who were involved in the production of "TRANSIT Travel Guide INDIA" (commonly known as the India Guide),
We will hear about each of their connections with India and stories of their travels around India.
The third installment features Fumie Kobayashi of CALICO, a brand that designs handmade fabrics together with local artisans and develops a range of fabrics and apparel.
Photographer Yayoi Arimoto, who has traveled to India many times with Kobayashi, talks about the handicrafts that remain in various parts of India.
The two have both visited Indian artisans and handmade crafts production areas, and have also collaborated on "CALICO's Guide to Indian Handmade Fabrics."
While experiencing the world of handicrafts handed down in villages all over India,
We would also like to ask you about the appeal of India from the perspective of fabrics and handicrafts.
